Sekyere South Assembly donates bus to school

THE SEKYERE South District Assembly has presented a new 33-seater bus donated by the government to school. The DCE, Mr. Ben Abankwah, presented the keys of the vehicle to the Headmaster of the school, through Mr. Owusu Boachie of the District Directorate of Education, at a ceremony at Agona, on Monday.

The Headmaster, Mr. Owusu-Afriyie, thanked the government for the donation, which he said would go a long way to ease the school’s transportation problems.

He also expressed appreciation to the DCE, and the Member of Parliament (MP) for the area, Mr. David Yeboah, for their efforts at ensuring that the school benefitted from packages from the government.

Nana Owusu Sekyere, Omanhene of the Asamang Traditional Area, was represented by Nana Fordjour Asuman, who presided over the presentation ceremony.

He appealed to the MP to help with the completion of the computer laboratory, library and teachers’ bungalows of the school. Mr. Frederick Antwi-Boasiako, Area Council Chairman, commended the President and the New Patriotic Government (NPP) government, for the immense support to the school.
